Smoking: Due to the close proximity and abundance of trees and foliage, our guest house is a non-smoking facility. This policy is strictly enforced everywhere on the property.
Children and Pets: We regret that the unique character of our garden retreat does not allow us to accommodate pets. Children must be supervised at all times.
Parking: There is parking for one vehicle in our driveway right next to your unit. Your unit is in the wing of the house overlooking the rose garden.
Privacy: Because we honor your privacy, we will not enter your area during your stay except to make a repair or if you make a service request.
Business Hours: Business hours are between 8 am and 8 pm daily.
Deposit: A deposit is required to hold your reservation. The amount will vary with the length of stay. The full fee must be paid at least two weeks before your arrival date. We accept credit cards, checks, money orders and Paypal payments. To Reserve Now with a credit card, click here.
Security deposit: For stays of a month or more, there will be a security deposit of $250 returnable to you so long as there is no damage to the unit or its contents.Cancellation Policy: A cancellation fee of $50 is applied to all cancelled reservations.
Refund Policy: In order to receive a refund of your initial deposit, less the cancellation fee, all room cancellations must be received at least two weeks (14 days) prior to your arrival date. In the case of major holidays such as Thanksgiving, or events such as UCSB graduation, a three week notice is required. Cancellations received less than two weeks prior to your scheduled arrival (or three weeks for special occasions) will be non-refundable unless it is possible to rebook your space. This policy will apply to late check-ins and early check-outs as well.
In-room Movies: Your room is equipped with a DVD/VCR and an extensive list of movies that are available free of charge for your enjoyment. Please give us at least 2 hours notice to provide the movie of your choice. There is no TV available at The Hermitage.
Linens: We strive to provide the highest quality of towels and bed linens for our guests. Please treat them with care. In the event that they should become stained or damaged beyond repair during your visit, guests will be held accountable for replacement costs.
Cleaning Fee: There is a standard cleaning fee of $50 for each stay payable in advance by cash, check, or paypal. If additional cleanings are required, they will be charged at the rate of $50 each.
